Give your DROPLET a Unique Look

We believe in community. It is more important than ever, especially during these uncertain times, that we work together. And why not getting through the crises that the year 2020 has brought us stronger? There is no denying that the tiny campers manufacturers and the RV business itself have not suffered as much as other fields due to the COVID-19. That gives us an opportunity to give back to the community.

We have partnered up with selected artists to launch a special edition of vinyls under the DROPLET Design Initiative. To make sure this is not just a symbolic gesture, all the profit from the initiative will proceed to the creators of these designs.

DROPLET Design gives you a chance to decorate your lightweight teardrop trailer with a unique artwork while supporting those who created them. Artists from both Canada and the US joined our vision to offer design options celebrating the beauty of nature. We are positive that exploring the outdoors and art bring our community together. Combining these two will hopefully remind us all that the brighter future is coming. Perhaps it’s time to do a trailer trade in and spice up your travel life a bit!

We have four different artworks, three already available at our online shop, that will differentiate your DROPLET lightweight camper and spread the message of the importance of connecting with nature through an active lifestyle. And even though the look of the teardrop trailer is not everything, it is nice knowing that the saying “If you don’t look back at your car after you park it, you’ve bought the wrong car.” will never be the case with your small camper from DROPLET.

ArtByDi

“I love DROPLET’s idea for their artwork initiative- helping to promote a culture of appreciation for the arts, and the emotional connection to west coast landscapes, all the while supporting artists and their work. It’s also pretty cool to see your art cruising around the countryside!”

– Di, ArtByDi

As a self-taught artist her style evolved through the exploration of using bright solid colours and flowing lines to reduce the endless detail of life into calming, simplistic beauty. Di’s body of work includes illustration, digital art and acrylic paintings. She has been shown in galleries on Bowen Island, Vancouver and in private collections across North America. Recently she created two 360 murals for the BC Children’s Hospital and was co-exhibitor in ‘The Art of Conservation’; an exhibition to raise funds and awareness for wildlife conservation in British Columbia.

Elyse Dodge

“Traveling the world and exploring fresh landscapes has always been the main source of inspiration for my work. It is that shared sense of discovery, love for nature and the B.C. roots that ultimately made me want to work with Droplet on this artist series. Enjoying nature should be accessible to all and Droplet trailers is on a mission to make that possible – for that reason I am happy to align my artwork with a brand like theirs. I can’t wait to explore North America in one of these cozy modern trailers one day!”

– Elyse Dodge

L.A.-based Canadian artist Elyse Dodge is best known for her boldly coloured geometric landscapes. Her distinctive visual language explores the contrast between the abstract and the literal, and the connection between soft and hard forms.

Deeply inspired by West Coast scenery, her deconstructed landscapes focus on fractal shapes and texture, skillfully blending the freedom of impressionism with the precision of geometry. Her work serves as a reminder that things are not always what they seem, and that the whole exists only as the sum of its parts – each piece a beautiful and integral component of the full puzzle.

AbelArts

“I love it when companies see the value in collaborating with artists. That’s when a product goes from lame and boring to unique and awesome. Just take a look at the current graphics packages on almost any current RV or motorhome… just mindless, messy, cookie-cutter, tribal tattoo, garbage. It makes me wonder if it’s the same one designer that does all the graphics for every RV company? Might as well be. It’s great to see DROPLET taking the creative high road.”

– Erik Abel, AbelArts

Bold colours, geometric patterns, and botanical profiles capture the eye in Erik Abel’s artwork. Inspired by his love of the ocean, surfing and travel, Abel’s work articulates the spirit of the water and awe of nature. Upon a closer look, Abel’s graphic imagery unfolds to tell the story of his paintings.

Accents peak through unexpectedly revealing the layers of colour Abel cloaks in each piece while loose strokes of coloured pencil create detail and dimension.
