You will not do the same thing all day long. You’ll be assembling our campers with pride from start to finish. We’ll discuss your suggestions to improve the process and build jigs and fixtures to make our lives easier. As the company grows, you’ll have the opportunity to learn new trades, machines, and software.

The assembly worker will work with the assembly team. She (he) will participate in all assembly tasks, track their progress, and be involved in some inventory and quality control.

Tasks:

• Receive parts and sub-assemblies from suppliers
• Adjust inventory level
• Read drawings and check parts conformity. Flag non conform parts (NCP)
• Prepare assembly line tools and collect parts for the next job
• Assemble parts
• Track and report progress
• Clean up and keep tools organized
• Report problems
• Suggest process improvements. Design new fixtures and jigs to improve quality and process
• Build new fixtures and jigs to improve quality and process

Responsibilities :

The production supervisor will work full-time with the assembly worker for the first four weeks. The assembly worker will be shadowing and learning. Once trained, the assembly worker will be paired with a senior assembly worker for significant tasks. He will work independently on sub-assemblies that suit her(his) abilities and interests. The supervisor will randomly check and guide the first article during production.

The technical director will train and mentor the assembly worker on process-related topics, lean manufacturing, and inventory management. 30 min training will be provided weekly.

Role Overview

We are looking for supply chain skills. This is a hands-on position working with our production team.

* SUPPLY CHAIN:

Re-supply all necessary parts to manufacture our trailers. You are in charge of ordering, replenishing, sorting, and inventory using lean manufacturing technics and processes.

* Maintain inventory on the MRP system. (ERPNext)

* Implement operations on MRP.

Review production time, workstations, and BOM.

* Issue and follow-up work orders

* Create work procedures

* Sourcing:

Analyze cost-saving opportunities and find new vendors.

Physical Requirements

– Must be comfortable working with a variety of power tools and equipment

– Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 40+ pounds regularly

– Must be able to work in a warehouse environment and an office.
